No Knee Worries For Rafael Nadal

Federer and Nadal

Nadal now leads Federer by 1,960 points in 2017.

The Swiss world number two beat Nadal in the finals of the Australian Open and Miami Masters and in the last 16 at Indian Wells earlier this year, and never looked like losing to his long-time rival in Shanghai, firing 10 aces as he cruised to victory.

Federer defeated his recent US Open conqueror 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in one hour and 58 minutes in the second semifinal to set up what would be a mouth watering contest against world number one Rafael Nadal.

Only Jimmy Connors (109) has won more trophies.

Federer, the world number two, ended a sequence of five straight defeats to Nadal at Basel past year, before winning their gripping Australian Open final in January. "He's too good of a player", Federer said.

The Swiss 19-time grand slam victor, who still trails Nadal 23-15 in their head-to-head record, didn't face a break point and started and ended the match with service breaks.

"It's definitely been the best I felt since Wimbledon", he said, where he won the championship for a historic eighth time in July.

"I don't want to talk about that now, sorry", Nadal said.

Doggy day care and other pet services are available nearby at Best Friends, a facility on-property at the Disney World Resort. Amenities will feature a welcome kit that includes a mat, bowls, an ID tag, disposable bags, puppy pads and dog-walking maps.

"It was a very tough match", Nadal said after his win, as quoted on ATP's official site.

"In a way not surprising because I felt good all week - I was ready".

"It's been a pleasure playing against you here today".

The battle for "Big Title" supremacy remains intense, as Djokovic continues to hold the record for best conversion rate, winning one "Big Title" every 3.4 events, with Nadal close behind at 3.5. That's the real thing, no? "It's very important for me".

Nadal was expected to play the remaining three tournaments in Basel, Paris and the ATP Finals in London, but his latest setback could see him focus his attention on the Paris Masters and the finals in the English capital.

Federer, fondly known as "Cow" in China for his laid-back personality, started the better in grabbing the break and then rattled through his own service game for 2-0.

For Federer, his career may be in its twilight, which makes these wins all the more special as they come. "I can not tell you now", the 10-time French Open victor added. He broke Nadal's serve again on a second break point in the fifth game of the second set when Nadal sailed a backhand crosscourt wide.
