Users are outraged by the failure WhatsApp

WhatsApp is down for users in India and around the globe

According to posts on various social media platforms, users complained that they were unable to send or receive messages for about 30 minutes on Friday. While no online service is immune to the occasional hiccup, this outage was notable for its global scale which impacted WhatsApp's sizable user base. While the problems were focused in western Europe and Asia, it was also reported in many parts of the world. Some even said their privacy settings can not be updated.

Some witty users may have thought they could trick the system and log on to their WhatsApp account and continue messaging via the WhatsApp Web extension.

Apple looking beyond Qualcomm for smartphone components
If Qualcomm loses that business, it would cut the company's revenue by about 7.5 percent, Raymond James & Associates estimates. Apple copied an Intel engineer in the email for information, Qualcomm alleged.

Services have been partially restored as per media reports. The extent of the outage and the reasons for it were not immediately known. The Facebook-owned WhatsApp messenger application has been facing outages since 12:40 pm IST. Later, the service providers of the site managed to restore their servers and let everyone know that the developers of Whatsapp are actually working on to make things normal again. Most outages tend to be regional in scale, as opposed to affecting app users around the globe.

Since a couple of hours, billions of users have resorted to Facebook and Twitter to reach their friends and family.
