Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn removed from WWE European tour

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn went against a creative directive given to them before SmackDown last night and we're told it contributed to them being sent home.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that it was the fact that Owens and Zayn left immediately following the match instead of staying around to get beat up by The New Day that caused the issues.

According to one source, Owens and Zayn have become "difficult to work with" as of late and seem unhappy backstage.

However, it soon emerged that the pair will not be involved in any matches on the tour of the United Kingdom and Europe having been sent home a day later. The issue is the fact that Owens and Zayn were supposed to sell the beatdown to help set up a tag team match on Smackdown next week.

As initially reported earlier today by PW Insider, Owens and Zayn were sent home from WWE's current European tour, shortly after participating in last night's SmackDown taping.

The decision was apparently sanctioned by Vince McMahon himself, taken as a outcome of the pair supposedly "going into business for themselves" during their on-air segments.

There's no word yet on what was planned for Sami and Owens at the November 19th Survivor Series pay-per-view but it's believed that The New Day will be facing The Shield's Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. There was also a mention of "men of honor", and some believed that was a reference to Ring of Honor and led to the editing, but that was not the case.
