Anderson Silva in trouble again after positive doping test

Anderson Silva flagged for potential doping violation pulled from UFC Fight Night 122

Michael Bisping during Comic Con Experience (CCXP).

It's not yet known what substance led to Silva being flagged on this occasion, but the former long-time middleweight champion has been in trouble with USADA in the past, testing positive for steroids after a decision win over Nick Diaz at UFC 183 in early 2015, which led to a year-long suspension from the sport. They didn't have to look far - it's none other than recently defeated ex-middleweight champ Michael Bisping.

Just yesterday, fight fans all around the world felt the blow of Anderson Silva's reported failed drug test and subsequent removal from the main event of UFC Shanghai.

Bisping obviously had his title-winning five-fight winning streak snapped last week, but the former champion wants immediate redemption to get himself right back into the title picture.

Was Iowa State robbed of a touchdown late against Oklahoma State?
The Cyclones held a 42-34 lead with 8:34 left in the game after David Montgomery's third rushing touchdown of the game. In the 3rd quarter, Iowa State jumped out to a 28-24 lead when Montgomery scored on a three yard touchdown run.

The biggest headline-grabber on the night was, of course, the return of Georges St-Pierre after a near-four year layoff. Now, he's putting his money where his mouth is, stepping in to replace "The Spider" on short notice. He won the UFC middleweight championship in 2016 in a short-notice fight against Luke Rockhold.

Alongside a poster of himself and Gastelum (13-3), Bisping wrote on Instagram: "Why not".

But if matters do head that way then it would nearly certainly spell the end of the Brazilian's career as he has previously tested positive anabolic steroids and was banned for a year by the Nevada Athletic Commission after his bout with Nick Diaz back at UFC 183 in 2015.

The UFC said it has removed the 42-year-old Brazilian from the Shanghai card and is looking for a new opponent for American Kelvin Gastelum.
