Former Jaguars' DT arrested

Miller now playus for the Kansas City Chiefs.

More details pertaining to Miller's arrest have yet to be released. The verbal argument allegedly turned physical, with Nicole Miller saying he pushed her around and grabbed her hair.

Nicole Miller, 39, told police Roy Miller had left her behind at the Jacksonville Zoo, where the couple had gone on a date Friday night.

She said Roy Miller threw her cellphone in the toilet and physically restrained her from retrieving it. A witness told deputies their four children sought shelter in the other side of the home during the fight.

At some point, a bedroom door slammed and she heard "thumping" coming from inside the room as if someone was being hit.

Police found Roy Miller sleeping inside the bedroom and he agreed to speak to police after being awakened.

Cape Town - Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard expects Manchester United's title challenge to fizzle out later in the season, but won't blame manager Jose Mourinho .

The jail log shows that Roy Miller was booked shortly before 5 a.m. on Saturday on a misdemeanor charge.

The judge ordered Miller's release, and said he was allowed to contact the victim, but said if there is any violence toward the victim, then his release will be rescinded, Action News Jax reports.

He was cut from the roster in March and now plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

"This morning we were informed about an incident involving one of our players, Roy Miller", the Chiefs said in a statement, per ESPN. Details have yet to unfold here, but these types of situations typically result in a suspension of some kind and for any sort of fringe player, it can usually equal an outright release from the team.

The Chiefs signed Miller back in August. "We will have no further comment at this time".
