The Talk Finally Replaces Aisha Tyler's Vacant Chair With… Eve!

Eve Officially Joins 'The Talk' on CBS

She called Eve "an accomplished and dynamic performer, musician, wife and stepmother who fits in seamlessly, while also adding a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season".

Eve rounds out the panel that includes show creator Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood.

As for Eve's predecessor, Tyler is expected to return to The Talk from time to time as a guest host when her schedule permits.

Eve is stepping in for Aisha Tyler as the newest voice on CBS' "The Talk". However, she was ready to embark on a different path in her career.

North Korean defector was shot six times by border troops: UNC
If North Korea is proven to have fired shots through the area, this would constitute a breach of the armistice agreement. The most famous incident was in 1976, when two American army officers were killed by ax-wielding North Korean soldiers.

Both nervous and excited to start her new gig, Eve says she's already received great advice from the cast - especially Underwood - and teases she'll be "a pretty open book" with her own experiences and opinions in upcoming episodes.

"All of them told me that they believed in me, and I believe in them", she told PEOPLE ahead of her last show in August. "Casting a partner on-air, whether it's one of five, one of two, is a very hard thing because it's that thing we always talk about, chemistry", she added. She's best known for hits like "What Ya Want", "Gangsta Lovin" and "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" featuring Gwen Stefani. She reunited a year ago with Stefani for an arena tour.

It sounds like the multi-hyphenate will be pretty busy with not only her new hosting role, but also as a singer and actress. "And the plan was, before this opportunity came up, was to put out some music, which I still plan to do soon".
