Kim Jong-un's missile sub plans revealed in images

Images ‘show N. Korea aggressive work on ballistic missile sub

In a speech to the Japanese parliament outlining his priorities, the prime minister called North Korea's sixth nuclear test and two missile launches over Japan a national crisis.

North Korea is on an "aggressive schedule" to build and deploy its first operational ballistic-missile submarine, a USA think tank said, citing commercial satellite imagery.

According to the website 38 North-a program from the U.S Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies-satellite imagery of the Sinpo South Shipyard on the country's east coast, taken on November 5, shows the movement of parts and components, including sections of a submarine's pressure hull in the yards adjacent to construction halls, which suggests that the SINPO-C ballistic missile submarine might be under construction.

According to the report published by 38 North, November 05th witnessed an increased activity in the Sinpo South Shipyard, and they believe that Pyongyang is now in the final stages of building SINPO-C ballistic missile submarine.

New NASA tool predicts which cities face floods due to ice melt
In the Southern Hemisphere, the city of Sydney is likely to be most affected by melting on the northern half of Antarctica. This melting event would increase the sea level by 70 meters, but cities near the coasts might have a lot to suffer.

Diplomacy backed by military power is needed to deal with North Korea's missile and nuclear development, the head of the US military's Pacific Command said on Thursday. The commercial satellite images also show what appears to be a launch canister support or a launch canister, which might also indicate that North Korea seeks to carry out ballistic missile tests that began last July. Ejection tests are expected in the near future for submarine-launched ballistic missiles Pukguksong-1, a possible Pukguksong-3, and other missiles, Newsweek reported.

North Korea, under leader leader Kim Jong Un, has conducted dozens of missile tests this year.

It said the submarine was likely a larger successor to North Korea's single experimental ballistic missile submarine.

Another article in The Diplomat last month quoted a USA government source as saying that North Korea had tested a new solid fuel engine sometime between October 15 and October 21. The past two months have seen a relative lull and it has not tested a missile since firing one over Japan on September 15. His agenda included strengthening Japan's missile defense capability and purchasing more US -made missile defense systems.

North Korea sparked fears of World War 3 after ignoring global sanctions to continue developing and testing nuclear weapons.
