National Weather Service: Bright and chilly Monday for Shelter Island

You'll get to enjoy highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s Monday afternoon and lots of sunshine.

The period of Sunday through next Tuesday looks colder than average, with highs only in the upper 20s to mid 30s during the period.

Next week will remain nice with mostly sunny skies and little to no chance for any rain. Overnight lows dip to near freezing again.

High clouds will be rather thick throughout the morning Tuesday, but will thin out during the afternoon. By 10 am rain chances go back down to 10% and we are mostly cloudy. This will cause temperatures to gradually warm up, as well. Temperatures will gradually warm up into the upper 40s on Black Friday. Behind the front temperatures will drop into the 40's for lows for the end of the week.

THANKSGIVING: Sunny, with a high near 43. Sunday night will be chilly as temperatures fall into the lower to mid 20s. At Los Angeles International Airport, temperatures will reach 86 and 84 on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
