Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of rookie Pennsylvania police officer

Manhunt for Pennsylvania cop killer ends after three-day search

Brian Shaw, who had been with the force for less than a year, was shot multiple times by Holt, according to Westmoreland County District Attorney John Peck. A magistrate ordered Holt held without bail on murder and weapons charges.

Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation were offering $40,000 for information leading to Holt's arrest, but it is unclear whether that money will be rewarded to anyone.

Shaw, 25, was pronounced dead at Allegheny Valley Hospital after he was shot in the midst of a foot chase when he pulled over an SUV on a road in New Kensington around 8 p.m. Friday.

Investigators first spoke with Holt's mother on Sunday, according to a criminal complaint filed against her, and she told police she'd had no contact with her son.

The 47-year-old mother was arrested Monday night. Also arrested were several members of Holt's family, including his mother, Sherry Holt, on charges of hindering apprehension.

Palestinians threaten to cut ties with United States if Washington office closed
That was the case until 2011, when the Palestinians joined UNESCO and declared they wanted full membership status in the UN. In 1987, Congress outlawed any PLO presence on United States soil due to the group's terror activities at the time.

The man accused of fatally shooting a rookie police officer in western Pennsylvania was taken into custody Tuesday, the state police said.

On Sunday, detectives filed drug and fleeing charges against Harper.

Officers from different towns are pitching in on the manhunt so the town's police department can grieve Shaw's death.

Police in Pennsylvania issued a warrant for the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a rookie officer on Friday.

"I promise you that our officers will continue to serve with the same honor that Brian did...the same dedication and professional service that you guys expect and that you guys will receive", announced Chief Klein.
