Things to Know: LaVar Ball talks about Trump's help on CNN

LaVar Ball denies being in a feud with President Donald Trump but repeatedly refused to issue a

The "Late Show" and "Late Night" hosts each addressed Trump's latest beef against basketball superdad LaVar Ball on their shows Monday night.

The president, in tweets Sunday, said he should have left LiAngelo Ball and two other UCLA basketball players accused of shoplifting in jail because LaVar Ball "is unaccepting of what I did for his son" and "very ungrateful!"

On Monday, Ball appeared on CNN, where he spoke with Cuomo about Trump.

"That's on your mind, that a father didn't say "Thank you"?"

Ball told Cuomo that he will only say "thank you when I see something".

Cuomo pressed Ball to reconsider, until the father finally revealed what would have convinced him to thank the president - if he had flown his son home on Air Force One.

On Nov. 15 he tweeted that he wondered if the three Bruins would thank him. You know what kind of power he has.

National security advisor takes dig at Trump's intelligence
McMaster said Kushner had no business being in the White House and shouldn't be involved in matters of national security. Sources tell Buzzfeed the dinner took place on July 18 at the Washington, D.C. restaurant Tosca.

With the looming threat of North Korea, the state of our health care system and his own alleged Russian scandal, it is interesting that Trump can't seem to stop talking about the UCLA players' shoplifting incident and protesting National Football League players.

I help somebody get a job. "This isn't Marco Rubio trying to win at Donald Trump's game".

Mark Cuban, who has never turned down an opportunity to blast Donald Trump, was recently stopped by a TMZ cameraman and he wanted to know his thoughts on the entire beef with LaVar Ball and Donald Trump.

Ball said there are a lot of "other matters to go around for the president to deal with that are political.as far as me, let me deal with my son and let him do what he's going to do". "'Shoulda left them in jail?' What kinda n--a is you, man?" "Don't tell me nothing".

Ball's son LiAngelo was arrested in China in November 8 for stealing designer sunglasses in Shanghai, along with his two teammates Jalen Hill and Cody Riley. The elder Mr Ball, however, made it clear that he did not feel indebted to Mr Trump in an interview with ESPN.

And while Lonzo Ball is in the NBA, the Ball child that's now dominating the news cycle is LiAngelo, Lonzo's younger (but not youngest) brother, who plays basketball at UCLA.
