Former Charlie Rose intern says he made her watch 'Secretary' sex scene

Top News Trump Pardons Turkeys Andrew Harrer Bloomberg

Rose made the claim to a reporter from TMZ as he walked back to his NY city apartment Monday evening, responding to a question about multiple allegations of wrongdoing toward women who worked on his PBS talk show.

Talk show host and journalist Charlie Rose was sacked Tuesday by CBS News, PBS and Bloomberg in the wake of eight women accusing him of sexual harassment and unwanted advances in a report in The Washington Post.

"I was wincing at your monologue though, Stephen", she scolded. "Beyond that we have no comment at this time". Charlie and I - we worked together, have been friends.

Rose's CBS This Morning co-hosts, Norah O'Donnell and Gayle King, spent Tuesday morning responding to the allegations against their former coworker. "I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that", he said. "We're all sort of reeling about what's happened".

"I came this close to canceling... we booked this weeks ago", King said on the CBS late-night show.

"This is not the man I know, but I'm also clearly on the side of the women who have been very hurt and very damaged by this", she said. It's interesting, when you were doing the monologue about other people, I'm like, 'Ha ha ha.' And then it was Charlie, and I was like, 'Oh, he's a friend. "But when you think about the anguish of those women, despite the friendship, you still have to report the news".

Rose was sacked by CBS and PBS, who announced they were cutting ties with the longtime newsman after numerous women have come forward with allegations that he sexually harassed them.

We Finally Know When Amazon Is Launching In Australia
This is likely to limit the company's ability to offer Amazon Prime Shipping services in the short to medium term. The timing couldn't be better with Black Friday sales about to land and Cyber Monday hitting soon after.

"This conduct by him, the physical contact, the phone calls, the nudity, it was unwanted", said Washington Post reported Amy Brittain. CBS president David Rhodes released a statement acknowledging the hard work that Rose has put in over the years, but going on to state that this still in no way excuses the kind of behavior that Rose is accused of engaging in.

While PBS has distributed the program, it is produced by a company owned by Rose.

"PBS expects all the producers we work with to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect", the network said.

He then praised King and the rest of the "CBS This Morning" team for covering the allegations against Rose "as news".

In an earlier statement, Rose did apologize for his "inappropriate behavior", and said he was "greatly embarassed", although adding "I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate".

The "CBS This Morning" eye-opener segment, a 90-second collection of film clips about the day, also led with the Rose story and quoted two pundits speculating the charges may end his career.
