Jude Law In Negotiations To Join Cast Of 'Captain Marvel'

Jude Law Mar-vell

Yesterday, word broke out that Marvel was in talks with Jude Law for the role of the classic superhero Mar-Vell in the studio's very first female-led superhero movie, Captain Marvel.

Law's also just wrapped shooting Woody Allen's new movie, which also stars Elle Fanning, and is about to start shooting spy thriller The Rhythm Section opposite Blake Lively. As a result of the accindent, Carol's human DNA fuses with Mar-Vell's DNA (because comics) and she ends up with all of his powers.

Captain Carol Danvers will meet her predecessor when she takes up the mantle of Marvel's Captain Marvel in 2019-and when she does, he'll look a lot like actor Jude Law.

The mentor of Captain Marvel has been found.
