Explore Kobolds & Catacombs on December 7!

Up until now, the next Hearthstone expansion Kobolds and Catacombs has only had a nebulous release window of "before the end of 2017", which has been leaving an ever-smaller window of time for it to drop as the year rushes to a close. Pre purchasing the expansion will also give players a shining "FOR THE HORD" card back to add to their collection. It's very different from "I don't have a card I can add to my deck now and make a certain deck type". But if you lose just once, you start from the beginning with a fresh deck.

"This is a way we get to put the challenge into them - and certainly with the Dungeon Run there'll be a ton of challenge in there - but there's no gated content behind that, other than a card back for beating all nine heroes". The card packs, however, will only unlock on December 7. Three additional card packs can be earned as well by completing three sequential one-time Dungeon Run quests.

As previously revealed, players will receive three Kobolds & Catacombs packs, as well as a Legendary Weapon pack completely free of charge once they log in to the game after its release. Starting November 6, this pre-purchase offer will also be available in-app for iOS and Android players for 49.99 United States dollars, and will reflect local pricing in Canada for 69.99 CAD.
