Netflix officially renews Stranger Things for Season 3

Is Dark the next Stranger Things? New Netflix series drumming up good reviews

Netflix announced today that Stranger Things Season 3 has been given the green light!

In a pair of tweets on Friday the Netflix US account Season 3 is "officially happening".

It also cemented the superstar status of its cast, featuring Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder and David Harbour. It's second season, which premiered on October 27, was a smash hit with over 15.8 million viewers watching the first episode, according to Nielsen data. In an interview with Vulture earlier this year, the pair said they see the show as a "four-season thing and then out", which means they're going to have to cram a lot of answers in the next couple of seasons. We expect the popular series will bring in at least a few new names with rad '80s ties. But what I like is that it makes you evolve the show.

Jim Nabors, Gomer Pyle on 'Andy Griffith Show,' dies at 87
Another film editing job took him to Los Angeles, where he spent off-hours performing at the cabaret where Griffith spotted him. The couple had been together for decades before their marriage. "And at my age, it's probably the best thing to do".

Now that Stranger Things season 2 is finally here, it's worth pointing out that Stranger Things Season 3 is already confirmed, and will probably run beyond that. Like the first season, it has a almost flawless rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and some fans even said the second season was much better than the first. We were introduced to Kali, another child experimented on at the Hawkins Lab, this season on Stranger Things.

The series was created by The Duffer Brothers, who also serve as executive producers and directors along with Shawn Levy (who also directs), Dan Cohen and Iain Patterson.

Despite their separation during most of season two, when Hopper kept Eleven secret for her own safety, the pair were reunited during the final battle of the season and had a normal moment as a young couple at the Snow Ball.
