LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed To Run For Pakistan General Elections 2018

Hafiz Saeed

The mastermind of 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed, announced that he would contest Pakistan's general elections in 2018. "People want a party that talks about making Pakistan strong against its enemies - India, United States and Israel and at the same time help them in solving their basic livelihood problems", Yaqoob said.

The MML was formed when Saeed was under house arrest in Lahore.

Talking to a group of columnists at the JuD headquarters in Chauburji here yesterday, he dedicated 2018 for Kashmiris.

Blaming the government for adopting a soft stance over the issue, he said Pakistan's incumbent government had bowed down to appease New Delhi.

Sharif's wife Kulsoom Nawaz later won the seat. India wants us to stop raising our voices for the Kashmiris.

Saeed also said on Saturday that his detention in Pakistan and arrest of Hurriyat leaders in India was part of worldwide agenda.

He further said his detention in Pakistan and Hurriyat leaders in India was part of global agenda. Many political analysts in Pakistan believe that if MML fails to get recognition as a political party due to pressure from the United States, Saeed and his party members will contest elections through their proxy candidates or parties.

Pogba happy not being world's most expensive player
Manchester United star Paul Pogba has revealed the one thing he hates about Jose Mourinho's training sessions. We were not decisive enough. 'But we have the experience to get better out of a game like that, you know.

"This had been done to harm the Kashmir cause".

Saeed said, "it was a good omen that Pakistan's flags were being hoisted in various parts of India, and Indian Muslims distributed candies after his release". "I warn India if it does not stop its atrocities against Kashmiris, this struggle will intensify, and it (India) will have to face the music", he said.

The JuD chief, who carries a bounty of Dollars 10 million announced by the USA for his role in terror activities, walked free on November 24 after the Pakistan government decided against detaining him further in any other case. His arrest was extended in April and then again in August before being lifted in November.

India accused Pakistan of trying to "mainstream proscribed terrorists".

Saeed was quoted in the media as saying, "I fight the case of Kashmiris".

Saeed has now filed the petition to de-list him from the UN's list of designated "terrorists".
