Oklahoma RB Rodney Anderson facing rape allegation

A woman filed a protective order Monday against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson, the leading rusher for the College Football Playoff-bound Sooners.

In a written court statement, the woman who filed the order says she met Anderson at a bar on November 16, two days before OU's football game at Kansas. The woman said she was planning on taking Uber but that Anderson's friends insisted he take her home. The woman further described her recollections in the statement and said she was "not feeling like I could say anything, and trying to get away from him to put clothes on".

No charges have been filed against Anderson, and a Norman police investigation is ongoing. He knows where I live and I'm scared for my safety. A year after Joe Mixon headed to the Sugar Bowl after a videotape of a violent act against a woman was released after being sealed away for much of his playing career, Rodney Anderson is faced with an allegation of rape.

The Washington Post does not normally name the victims of sexual assault.

A lawyer representing Anderson called the allegation false and sais Anderson "will be exonerated of any wrongdoing".

Billy Bush Confirms "Yes, Donald Trump, You Really Said That"
Because I was there, and the last 14 months of my life I have been dealing with it", Bush said". Enough's enough ... stop playing around with people's lives".

"Mr. Anderson first learned of [the woman's] request for a civil protective order late yesterday evening", attorney Derek Chance said in the statement.

A hearing before a judge is scheduled for December 18. "Mr. Anderson did not, nor would he ever, force himself on any woman". He also caught 16 passes for 283 yards and five touchdowns and was extremely potent during the final six weeks of the regular season, gaining 1,041 yards from scrimmage and scoring 14 touchdowns.

The university said in a very brief statement last night that they are "aware [of the allegations] and are gathering more information".

Anderson, through a statement issued by his attorney, says the allegation is "patently false".

The Sooners are fortunate that that they have two highly talented running backs like Sermon and Adams to bring in if Anderson is unavailable to play.
