Donald Trump's #MuslimBan Approved By The Supreme Court In Six Countries

Voting 7-2, Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg were the only two to dissent from the other seven. His deteriorating health led him to flee Yemen a few weeks ago for Egypt. Nasher and her husband were discussing how to get him to the United States just hours before the latest version of the travel ban went into effect. 150 million people are now not allowed to come to the United States. Ruling that the ban can go into full event, the Supreme Court still has to vote on whether or not it is constitution, which will happen in the next months to come. Lower courts have continued to find problems with it.

The Trump administration and his campaign have hailed the court order as a victory for the President's position. Such people will also be barred, with the latest SC order.

A presidential spokesman, Hogan Gidley, said the White House was "not surprised" that the court permitted "immediate enforcement of the president's proclamation limiting travel from countries presenting heightened risks of terrorism". "Almost a year after we rallied at JFK in response to the first Muslim ban, we will continue to fight Trump's plan to turn bigotry into policy and resist this latest assault on our liberties just as we have every day since Trump took office", Choi said. "It's unfortunate that the full ban can move forward for now, but this order does not address the merits of our claims".

The US Supreme court has indicated that it will approve Trump's controversial travel ban, with only of the court's justices noting their disagreements with the policy.

The order is a significant temporary win for the Trump administration, which has fought all year to impose a travel ban against citizens of several Muslim-majority countries.

Two federal judges had blocked latest version of the ban in October, but those rulings are now set aside. Details of the travel restrictions vary by country. They say that was reinforced most recently by Trump's retweets of anti-Muslim videos.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting breaks up within hours
Qatar denies the allegations and has accused the Saudi-led bloc of aiming to incite a change of regime in Doha. Moreover Saudi Arabia and UAE have formed a new military and trade partnership separate from GCC.

Similarly, Judge Derrick K. Watson of the Federal District Court in Honolulu found that the September proclamation "suffers from precisely the same maladies as its predecessor", adding that it "plainly discriminates based on nationality" in violation of federal law "and the founding principles of this nation".

Both courts are dealing with the issue on an accelerated basis, and the Supreme Court noted it expects those courts to reach decisions "with appropriate dispatch".

The Justice Department has countered that the administration did meet its burden, pointing to findings in Trump's order that U.S. officials identified problems with how countries covered under the ban handled information-sharing in the immigration process, undermining the United States' ability to make sure that people entering the country don't pose a threat.

Mr. Francisco asked the justices to allow every part of the third ban to go into effect.

By contrast, civil libertarians and immigrants rights advocates portrayed the third travel order as more of the same: an unwarranted ban that targeted Muslims.

"Now that the review has been completed and identified ongoing deficiencies in the information needed to assess nationals of particular countries", he wrote, "additional restrictions are needed".
