76ers trading Jahlil Okafor to the Nets

BREAKING: 76ers Trade Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas To Nets

An NBA trade is about to go down.

.

Multiple media outlets reported Thursday afternoon that the 76ers and Brooklyn Nets agreed to a trade that sends Okafor, shooting guard Nik Stauskas and a second-round pick to the Nets.

Yes, Okafor was once the prized possession of the team but he has fallen out of the rotation thanks to Joel Embiid, Saric, Robert Covington, and Richaun Holmes. They had to make a trade that summer while the value was still high.

With the Nets struggling to hit their three-point shots, ranking 24th in three-point percentage with 35.4 percent, Stauskas can earn his minutes by doing what he does best in knocking down threes. He's averaging just 12.5 minutes per game this season, and it was clear long ago that he wouldn't be a part of the 76ers' long-term plans.

Apple reveals 'Best of 2017' apps and games
Disney's Moana was the most-watched movie, with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story " and "Wonder Woman " coming in as runners-up. Similarly to previous annual charts, Apple has revealed top charts for the most popular apps and games of the year too.

"I know it's business, but in my eyes, I don't know if it's good business".

Okafor was the third player selected in the 2015 NBA Draft, but never lived up to expectations with the 76ers. Dario Saric is a starting POWER FORWARD and is the fourth string center.

Now that he is a Net, Okafor may get some playing time as Tyler Zeller, Timothy Mozgov, and rookie Jarrett Allen share the center position.

As for whether the Sixers should be anxious about this trade coming back to haunt them down the road when considering the Nets are in the same division, well let's just say Okafor hasn't given the team any reason for panic. More importantly, the Sixers can now move on with both parties getting what they wanted.
