Amazon Prime Video now available on Apple TV in around 100 countries

The search giant said it was responding to unfair treatment by Amazon, which won't sell Google devices through its online store and won't bring Amazon Prime Video support to Chromecast.

Once you've downloaded the Amazon Prime Video app it will be relatively easy for you to get it up and running as you control the content you put on screen through the Apple TV App or Siri Remote. It's a move borne of a protracted turf war between the two titans; one that also will continue to have ripple effects on third-party alliances (like Amazon's deal with Apple TV) until there's some kind of resolution. Prime Video integrates with Apple's TV app, which lists the shows you're now watching and alerts you when new episodes are available.

Overnight into Thursday, movies through the new Prime TV app that showed a description of audio available in the Dolby 5.1 format - such as the 007 movie "Spectre" and the series "The Grand Tour" - are now missing that description.

Amazon's own streaming device, Fire TV ($70), competes directly with the pricier Apple TV ($149).

Austria Will Legalize Same-Sex Marriage Beginning In 2019
The limitations in question were that the previous definition of marriage allowed it only to be between "different sex" partners. Constitutional courts in South Africa, Colombia, and Taiwan have also ruled that a ban on same-sex marriage in unconstitutional.

A feud between two streaming rivals is easing up. However, until then you can use the method mentioned above. "The Sports tab in the Apple TV app makes it even easier for fans in the United States to track the teams, games and moments that are important to them". Where movies are not available for streaming via a Prime subscription, the app often says that the content can instead be purchased or rented. Variety reported that Amazon's latest implementation also had some terms-of-service issues, which were related to the way it used voice commands.

Why such good news for Apple TV owners, and such bad news for Fire TV and Chromecast owners? And although Apple's services business is growing, it doesn't have much overlap with the core offerings of Google and Amazon. This, too, can be synced across all users' Apple devices. They also both offer corporate cloud-computing services, a market where Amazon leads by a wide margin. We'll see if Amazon and Google can take a similar approach.

Either way, with no headway being made in that domain just yet, Fire TV users who open the YouTube app on their devices are now met with a message informing them that "starting on 1 Jan 2018, YouTube will not be available on this device".
