Eating Small Bits Of Cheese Daily Helps Lower Heart Disease Risks

Eating Cheese Every Day May Actually Be Good for You

Like other dairy products, it contains a high amount of saturated fat - which has been recently connected to high cholesterol, atherosclerosis, and heart disease.

They concluded that those who regularly ate cheese cut their chances of having a stroke by 10% and chances of developing certain coronary heart diseases by 14%.

Heather Zinn, The Cheese Lady Grand Rapids stopped by My West Michigan to share cheeses that you may want to consider.

Chinese researchers conducted a meta-analysis of 15 studies from Europe and the US, which monitored the health effects of cheese consumption in more than 200,000 people. The majority of these studies included only people without heart disease and tracked participants for ten years or more. (But the findings were) certainly different from what people might expect.

Cheese is typically considered more of an indulgence than a health food, but a new review of research suggests that it may not be as bad for you as once thought. Now, cheese-lovers can sleep well knowing that their midnight snack or post-night-out cheese fry indulgence is actually good for them.

Putin: Russians not prevented from competing at Winter Olympics under neutral flag
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the decision after finding that Russian authorities knowingly doped their athletes during 2014 winter games in Sochi.

A recent study of over 200,00 people showed that those who ate a small amount of cheese daily had a lower risk of contracting heart disease, compared to those who rarely or never ate the stuff, New York Daily News reports.

"Cheese can be high in probiotics, which tend to put you in less of an inflammatory state", Stewart told Time.

Just eat it in moderation because of the saturated fats and sodium levels.

"There is some evidence that cheese-as a substitute for milk, for example-may actually have a protective effect on the heart", says Stewart.

Yet exceeding moderate portions of cheese won't boost benefits, and may in fact trigger negative health conditions, experts warn. "But on the upside, a bit of cheese on a cracker doesn't sound unreasonable".
