Overwatch Winter Wonderland Goes on a 5v1 Yeti Hunt

To celebrate Christmas, Overwatch Winter Wonderland returns.

It's that time of year: Overwatch's seasonal event for the holidays, Winter Wonderland, returns December 12 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, developer Blizzard Entertainment announced today.

As usual, legendary skins will make an appearance. There will be plenty of new skins too, and Kaplan specifically hints at skins for Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog.

Additionally, Kaplan says Overwatch's Black Forest map is getting a new holiday makeover. Old maps King's Row and Hanamura will receive "seasonal passes", or themed decorations for the holidays. Ammo can be refilled at snow piles but leaves you very, very defenceless so it's a game of timing and accuracy. It'll include everything from last year-skins, the Mei snowball fight mode, etc-as well as an entirely new boss fight mode.

The Snowball Offensive will take place on the Black Forest and Ecopoint Antarctica maps. The big thing here is that a player will actually control the yeti, which is a powered up version of Winston.

Treatment of Rohingya May Contain Elements of Genocide — UN Official
Zeid said some about 626,000 Rohingya have fled since August, and many more are continuing to pour into Bangladesh . Myanmar's government rejects the term Rohingya, labelling the community " Bengalis ".

The Winston they're hunting will be player-controlled as well, and he or she will have to avoid the group of Meis until they can collect enough meat and super-charge their abilities. Meis can flee and regroup with the aid of ice walls and ice traps.

It sounds like Overwatch is going a bit Evolve, which is an interesting choice.

"I know a lot of you are thinking that this sounds kinda silly and kinda ridiculous", Kaplan said in his video to the Overwatch community.

Winter Wonderland will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 when it launches next Tuesday, and the full line-up of 2017 seasonal skins will likely be revealed soon.
