England batsman suspended after Perth bar incident

Ben Duckett was given the maximum fine of £1,500

Duckett, who was left out of England's drawn two-day tour game in Perth over the incident, did not deny dousing James Anderson with drink. Issued with a final written warning in respect of his conduct as an England player.

Instead he was dropped and suspended for the rest of the Lions tour, wrecking his chances of being promoted to the full England side and play a part in the Ashes series. It is understood the fine imposed on Duckett is around £1500.

The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed Duckett's punishment in a brief statement yesterday.

The CA XI went after spinners Jack Leach and Mason Crane while seamer Mark Wood, touted as a potential inclusion for this week´s third Ashes Test against Australia in Perth, conceded more than six an over.

The 23-year-old Duckett, who was stood down from an Ashes tour game, was also fined the "maximum allowable amount" for a Lions player.

Duckett was earmarked to open the innings in England's latest warm-up game against a Cricket Australia XI, with his absence only confirmed by the European Central Bank once play had begun.

Middle school boy breaks down in tears after being bullied
Chris Evans recently responded to Keaton's video on Twitter , posting a heartfelt message telling the boy to stay strong. The video now has over 14 million views and over 200,000 comments on Facebook after it was shared.

Save for sending Duckett home immediately, which was mooted as a possibility, the outcome of his hearing appears to demonstrate that England are in no mood for any lenient responses to further transgressions.

Despite being suspended from playing, Duckett, 23, will remain with the squad as they prepare to play three Twenty20 matches against Perth Scorchers before Christmas. Duckett's incident occurred on the first evening after Andrew Strauss agreed to relax the team's curfew.

"These kind of things possibly can turn them away and that's not what we want", Moeen said. The star allrounder was involved in a brawl outside a Bristol nightclub in September and still awaits his fate.

The episode is the latest to mar what has so far been a terrible tour for England, who trail the five-match Ashes series with Australia 2-0 following defeats in Brisbane and Adelaide.

"Maybe the culture needs to change. Off-field behaviour needs to improve and we all know that". It's not always easy and the guys are on tour for a long time.

"The individual needs to be responsible for his own behaviour".
