OIC to convene in Istanbul to discuss US's Jerusalem move

Palestinian protesters step on US and Israeli flags and on a portrait of US President Donald Trump following his decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in Gaza City

President Donald Trump announced on Dec.6 that the United States will recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and that he will move the American embassy there once a location is secured.

The statement issued after the meeting of Arab League at Cairo Egypt says "US decision of accepting Jerusalem as Israeli Capital places the United States at a position of bias in favor of the occupation and the violation of worldwide law and resolutions".

The extraordinary summit has been called by the president of Turkey in his capacity as the chair of the OIC Summit. Needless to say the OIC is meeting at the most hard times and it needs to chalk out a firm action while rising above mere passage of condemnation resolutions.

The OIC leaders will also explore ways to deal with the situation.

Malaysia's participation at the Summit is an affirmation of its commitment and unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit to attain their legitimate and inalienable rights for an independent State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

LIl Peep Cause Of Death: Xanax and Fentanyl Overdose
Peep was found unresponsive on his tour bus just before a concert that was scheduled to happen in Tucson. Today, the toxicology report has come in and confirmed the exact cause of his death.

The conference will be preceded by the Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting which will be attended by Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the foreign office said.

Protest demonstrations were also held in Japan and other parts of the world.

Previously, the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned US President Donald Trump's decision that has been widely criticized by the worldwide community, saying that it violated the United Nations resolutions.

Trump recognised late Wednesday the disputed city as Israel's capital.

The announcement was a major shift by Washington that overturns decades of U.S. foreign policy.
