Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson announces move to MI

Shea fills a big need for Big Blue at quarterback.

The former Ole Miss quarterback, who visited the University of MI on Saturday, announced Monday in a Twitter post that he will transfer to UM.

Patterson was the top rated quarterback in the 2016 recruiting class.

MI is expected to have a competition between Patterson, Peters, and freshman Dylan McCaffrey for the starting quarterback job next season.

It's possible for Patterson to become immediately eligible next season. Watching Patterson lead the Wolverines to a big year would be a tough pill to swallow.

A noted MI fan as a youngster, Patterson's grandfather, George Patterson, played in the National Basketball Association for the Detroit Pistons.

OIC to convene in Istanbul to discuss US's Jerusalem move
The extraordinary summit has been called by the president of Turkey in his capacity as the chair of the OIC Summit. The announcement was a major shift by Washington that overturns decades of U.S. foreign policy.

"Thank you to the wonderful people, teammates and coaches at Ole Miss", Patterson tweeted. He completed 64 percent of his passes for 2,259 yards, 17 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

An Indiana native, Peters threw for 486 yards and four touchdowns in games against Rutgers, Minnesota, Maryland and Wisconsin. He started toward the end of his freshman season and was the starter this season for the Rebels before he was lost with a season-ending knee injury that kept him out of the last five games.

Seven Ole Miss players have announced their intentions to transfer, while rumors circulate around several more. He has also performed well in limited duty at "Ole Miss".

Shea played 7 games with the Rebels in 2017 before suffering a torn PCL.

Keep your eyes peeled on Patterson and MI in the future.

"More competition makes each other better", said freshman center Cesar Ruiz, who was Patterson's prep quarterback at IMG Academy.
