Exit polls have predicted a comfortable victory for BJP in Gujarat, while also anticipating an improvement in the tally of Congress as compared to its 2012 results. Gujarat recorded an estimated 68.70 percent voter turnout in the second and final phase of polling for 93 Assembly seats.

In the first phase of polls held last Saturday for 89 seats in Saurasthra, Kutch and South Gujarat, 66.75% of eligible electors had cast their votes.
