Huawei's alleged device roadmap leaks, showing off what's to come in 2018

It was initially rumored back in November of this year that Huawei would be making its big debut in the United States in 2018, and that rumor was subsequently confirmed by the company earlier this month.

In the first quarter of 2018, the Chinese company plans to launch the Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Lite available in more global markets.

A leaked image of what is claimed to be Huawei's 2018 roadmap surfaced online on Tuesday, providing the company's quarter-by-quarter launch plans for products ranging from smartphones to wearable devices and wireless routers. Huawei recently confirmed that it will indeed be teaming up with US carriers to launch handsets. It should be noted here that these are most likely codenames or placeholders for upcoming devices, not the market names.

Huawei's P11 series is highly anticipated as it will be a new trendsetter for smartphones, with rumors of three rear cameras. Next devices in line are Maya and Salina, which are scheduled to launch soon after that.

That same report also states that Huawei is planning on a $100 million marketing push in the United States which will accompany their flagship smartphone launch on a major USA wireless carrier. The roadmap also suggests the arrival of the A2 band; a new Huawei Scale body scale, and the Huawei 360 Camera. Huawei had to make technical changes to meet USA smartphone standards. The list also includes a MBB or Mobile Broadband device called Huawei B618, which could be a router or a modem. Like the a year ago, the company's P-series will be divided into three smartphones: P, P Plus and the P Lite.

As for the third quarter of 2017, a smartphone codenamed Honor 3 is expected to be unveiled.
