The Lana Del Rey and Radiohead Legal Battle Is Heating Up

Lana Del Rey said lawyers for Radiohead sued her but they say no lawsuit has been filed

Lana Del Rey has found herself in middle of a messy lawsuit after Radiohead claimed the singer copied parts of their biggest selling hit, Creep.

American singer Lana Del Rey addressed about a potential law suit with English rock band Radiohead at her concert in Denver, Colorado.

"As Radiohead's music publisher, it's true that we've been in discussions since August of previous year with Lana Del Rey's representatives". "To set the record straight, no lawsuit has been issued and Radiohead have not said they 'will only accept 100%' of the publishing of 'Get Free". She attests that she offered the band 40 percent of the publishing rights to settle the matter, but that the band "will only accept 100". "So we will deal with it in court". The distinct melody, on the other hand, might be where Radiohead is taking issue - and where Lana might be in some trouble. The dispute is over similarities between her song and Radiohead's "Creep".

Subsequently, Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood have a share of the seminal Radiohead track.

While on the other side, three will sport 65W thermal ratings which are intended for high-end laptops. In terms of performance, the flagship model should be fast like a GTX 1060 Max-Q 6GB.

So, technically, if the Radiohead camp go its way, the band, Hazlewoord and Hammond would be credited as co-writers of "Get Free" alongside Del Rey and co-writers Rick Nowels and Kieron Menzie.

The Hollies own the legal battle and Radiohead were ordered to hand over a percentage of royalties and credit the writers.

"Whats hilarious is that the point in that song that Radiohead got sued over, is the chord progression, which basically matches that of the chord progression in a lot of similar ways, in the Lana Del Rey song". She even said that this legal drama could force her to cut the song from the album.

It has to be said, there are similarities between the two songs.
