Pokémon Go will drop support for some Apple devices next month

Apple Support uploaded a new video tutorial to its YouTube channel this morning, continuing its quest of showing iOS users tips and tricks. The iPad 4th gen, iPad 3rd gen, iPad mini 1st gen, and iPad 2 (2011) will no longer be able to play the game after this update.

Niantic says these changes will take place from February 28 this year. The developer said that the update will bring "improvements to Pokemon Go that push the application beyond the capabilities of the operating systems on such devices".

Wondering if your device is included in the purge?

An upcoming Pokemon GO update will discontinue support for iPhones and other Apple devices that can't upgrade to iOS 11, including the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c.

Alabama lineman celebrates national title with epic postgame proposal
Alabama's 26-23 thriller over Georgia was the first national championship game to go to overtime since 2003. It was the ideal culmination of a stellar career for one of the most well-liked players on the team.

The move is reportedly being made so that new unannounced features of the game can be implemented without the fear of problems and bugs from interactions with old software. When will this option come up it's still a mystery, as there is no word about it in the beta. Tap "Download and install" next to the iOS 11.2.5 beta listing and you'll be good to go.

We would imagine that following Groudon's exit, Niantic will release Kyogre, followed by fellow legendary Rayquaza a month later in February.

Currently Ex-Raid's are the only way for players to fight and capture Legendary Raid Boss Mewtwo. Provided you've update to iOS 11, you'll be able to play.
