Donald Trump DID Call Countries 'Shitholes' & His Racism Hurts All Of Us

The Washington Post reported Thursday that Trump said, "Why are we having all these people from sh**hole countries come here?" "In reforming immigration we can not lose these American Ideals".

Earlier, the government of Botswana had announced that it had summoned the USA ambassador to explain Trump's comments, reportedly made on Thursday at a White House meeting on immigration.

African politicians and diplomats labelled US President Donald Trump a racist on Friday (local time) after he was reported to have described some immigrants from Africa and Haiti as coming from "s***hole" countries.

"Dr. King's faith and his love for humanity led him and so many other heroes to courageously stand up for civil rights of African-Americans", said Trump.

Trump on Friday denied using certain "language", but didn't offer more specifics.

Dick Durbin says he had high hopes of securing President Trump's approval of a bipartisan plan for "Dreamers" when he and South Carolina Republican Sen.

"In the course of his comments, [Trump] said things which were hate-filled, vile and racist", Durbin states.

Graham, in his Friday statement, also vaguely referenced Durbin's statements. "But as with so many other issues of policy, we may need to work around him rather than directly with him".

Chinese army may return to Doklam after winter, says General Rawat
But we are capable of (militarily) handling this assertiveness along the border...the terrain is to our advantage", he said. Pakistan is sending messages regularly to return to ceasefire.

Trump is claimed to have questioned why the U.S. was would accept more immigrants from Haiti and "sh**hole" countries. He has emerged as a leader in negotiations over how to codify the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, a 2012 executive order from President Barack Obama protecting roughly 800,000 immigrants from deportation who were brought to the country illegally by their parents as young children.

The Haitian government Friday condemned Trump's comments as a "racist view of the Haitian community". And with his use of derisive language at the Thursday meeting, it's an open question whether the compromise can be resuscitated.

The president added that the USA government should accept more people from countries like Norway.

At their Oval Office meeting, two sources said, Trump questioned the value of taking immigrants from Haiti and African nations, and referred to them as "shithole countries".

Durbin confirmed an accusation that the president called African countries and Haiti "s-holes" during a Thursday meeting with a bipartisan group of lawmakers, calling the comments "offensive".

Winning Trump's endorsement, in turn, will depend on how lawmakers can navigate the whims of a president known for being volatile and demanding utmost loyalty. "They are incensed. They don't understand".

Haiti's ambassador to Washington, Paul Altidor, said it was distressing that attention was drawn to the comments on Friday, the eighth anniversary and day of remembrance for about 220,000 people killed on the island by a devastating natural disaster. "But what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers".
