Look At This Giant Detective Pikachu Amiibo

Pokemon players have previously had the opportunity to solve mysteries in both mainline Pokemon games (mainly whenever you deal with Looker of the International Police) and spinoffs like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, even if Mystery Dungeon is more an adventure game with plot developments than a true mystery.

The move marks another step in the recent resurgence of Pokemon that began with Pokemon Go's release in 2016.

Detective Pikachu, and the Detective Pikachu amiibo, release for the 3DS family of handhelds on March 23.

The story takes place in Ryme City, as Detective Pikachu attempts to find Tim's missing father, Harry, by searching for clues and interviewing witnesses. This extra-large amiibo can unlock cutscenes if tapped in the Detective Pikachu game, revealing a combination of hilarious content that might also provide a hint. Moreover, this super-sized figurine is roughly twice the size of the regular Smash Pikachu amiibo!

Following news about the upcoming Detective Pikachu game and amiibo, Nintendo has announced that they'll be bringing a Pikachu themed New 2DS to the West at the end of the month.

India beat Pakistan by seven wickets, top group
Pakistan scored 282 for the loss of eight wickets in their 40 overs with Md Jail scoring 90 from 91 balls before retiring hurt. The Green Shirts lead the points table after registering back-to-back victories against Bangladesh and Nepal.

Reynolds will not be part of the game, however.

Oh, one last thing: you don't actually play as Detective Pikachu in the game, you play as his new human friend "Tim Goodman" (which sounds like an alias if I've ever heard one). When that game arrives, it'll be accompanied by an amiibo quite unlike any you've seen before.

Crime is rampant in Ryme City, and it's up to a coffee-loving Pikachu to help uncover clues and put the bad guys behind bars. Are you looking forward to Detective Pikachu on 3DS? Missed some of the Pika Prompts during your investigation?

For those who haven't been keeping up, Detective Pikachu is a mystery adventure game, somewhat similar to the Ace Attorney titles.
