Spurs will keep Kane and Alli this summer

Surging interests from top clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona have alarmed Tottenham Hotspur over their star midfielder Dele Alli's future.

Despite the spending among their top-six rivals, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said on Thursday that it is "difficult" to do business in January - a message repeated by Pochettino ahead of Saturday's match against Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to open talks on extending the contracts of Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min, and to hand Harry Kane a pay rise.

"Tottenham are a club who in three-and-a-half years I saw in the media, minimum 100 names and out of them we signed only a few".

"Of course, all the clubs and the managers want to keep their best players and we are in the same way, to keep the best and try to make the team stronger each season".

First Florida snow in 29 years as major storm hits US
It was also reported on Thursday that four people were killed in North and SC after their vehicles ran off snow-covered roads. More than 70 percent of Newark's flights and 90 percent of New York's LaGuardia flights were also canceled.

He added: "Mauricio's strategy has always been if an opportunity arises he thinks can improve the squad, then we are willing to look at it".

Pochettino is without Toby Alderweireld (hamstring), Harry Winks (ankle) and Danny Rose (knee) for Everton's visit but he hopes to have Rose available in a "couple of weeks".

Defender Mason Holgate was involved in a confrontation with Roberto Firmino at Anfield that could have consequences for both players.

Everton sacked Ronald Koeman in October and turned to former England manager Sam Allardyce, who has made them more hard to beat, but the Merseyside club have not won in their last four Premier League games and they were dumped out of the FA Cup by neighbours Liverpool a week ago. We are proud that Dad played a major role in developing the club's history and that his contribution is being remembered in this way.
