No one was injured after the Boeing 737-800 careered down the slope towards the Black Sea after landing in the northern Turkish province of Trabzon.

All 162 passengers and crew, who were on board the aircraft when it overshot the runway on Sunday, were evacuated safely by emergency services.

Reports say that there was widespread panic on board but that all passengers and crew members escaped without injury.

The cause of the incident was not immediately known, the Governor said.
