'The Handmaid's Tale' Season Two Releases Three Eerie Photos

THE HANDMAID'S TALE

Season 2's April premiere is still far away, but new photos released by Hulu show off more of the show's gorgeous cinematography, finding vibrant beauty in the bleakest of worlds. And given that The Handmaid's Tale has become a must-see show, the company now has a more convincing play when asking users to upgrade to the $40/month Live TV offering. "'Gilead is within you' is a favorite saying of Aunt Lydia". And in these first images, it sure seems like Offred is fighting. One can safely assume that this might be a punishment for protesting against the system in the last season. One features Offred/June, played by Elisabeth Moss, covered in blood; one reveals the barren existence of the dreaded Colonies; and one features a procession of Handmaids, dressed for a funeral in black and red.

Perhaps this is a scene from Mexico, trying to create their own version of Gilead's handmaid program.

Season 1 of The Handmaid's Tale is now streaming on Hulu.

Parks and Recreation actor, Aziz Ansari, accused of sexual assault
Ansari replied with an apology, saying: "I'm so sad to hear this". "Clearly, I misread things in the moment and I'm truly sorry". When Ansari told her he was going to grab a condom within minutes of their first kiss, Grace voiced her hesitation explicitly.

Back with Moss in the second season are Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle and Amanda Brugel. In the first season, Hulu released the first three episodes at once, with the rest coming once a week after that.

Details on the plot for the upcoming season are hard to predict, since we're in largely uncharted territory when it comes to Margaret Atwood's original source material. "These scenes that are so lovely, while set in such a bad place, provide the kind of contrast that makes me happy".

The second season of the show will go beyond Atwood's source material and is set to focus on Offred's quest to find her missing daughter in Gilead, while also dealing with her pregnancy.
