A 20-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday to killing 18-year-old Brittney Gargol, who was found fatally injured on the outskirts of Saskatoon in 2015.

Antoine ultimately accepted responsibility but within her please she said she did not remember the actual killing.

In addition, Antoine posted a lengthy message that wondered about Gargol's whereabouts on the night of her death.

A selfie shared to Facebook, posted hours before Gargol's body was found, showed Antoine wearing a belt which matched the same belt that was discovered near Gargol's body. Charges were laid against Antoine nearly two years to the day of Gargol's death.

She also misled cops by claiming to have gone home with an unknown man that night but a friend tipped off police after Antoine apparently made a drunken confession.

"It's quite remarkable how the police developed this information", prosecutor Robin Ritter said Monday in court, adding that Antoine poses a threat to public safety.

Little Moshe arrives in Mumbai, says he's very happy
The memorial will include the Holtzberg's apartment along with the floor where the terror attack occurred. This is Moshe Holtzberg's second visit to Mumbai after he had lost his parents in the attack.

"No doubt this young woman has issues ... and because of those issues she is unsafe", said Ritter.

Antoine was initially charged with second-degree murder and she later confessed to a friend that she and Brittney had got into a heated argument and she ended up hitting and strangling her friend.

The complex investigation took nearly two years and Antoine was initially charged with second-degree murder. Both girls were using alcohol and drugs on the fateful night, police said.

This put her on the radar of investigators, who found the selfie, and eventually arrested her past year. The twist came in the gargol case, after Antonie posted a selfie on social media website Facebook of the two of them, hours before the Gargol died. She also apologized via a statement where she said, in part, "I will never forgive myself". I am very, very sorry...

The victim's aunt, Jennifer Gargol, told the court how her niece's death had affected the family.

She was five years old at the time of the killing.
