USAG Encourages McKayla Maroney to Speak Against Larry Nassar, Won't Seek Fine

2 Koreas talk about Olympic cooperation ahead of IOC meeting

International Gymnastics Federation president Morinari Watanabe told said yesterday that his governing body will set up a victim support body in the wake of the abuse of children by a former U.S. team doctor.

"But, I can tell you this: our law does not do enough to prevent predatory acts and often does not do enough to punish predators who have committed the disgusting act of abusing a child", Stephens declared.

After 30 years as an osteopath with the US gymnastics program, Nassar is now in prison serving a 60 year sentence for the possession of child-porn.

Simon said she didn't come Tuesday, the first day of Nassar's sentencing hearing, because she didn't want to be a distraction. "That's fine. We need to make a safer place but all the people at USAG and MSU (Michigan State) and the United States Olympic Committee who covered it up and allowed this negligence and abuse to happen to children are responsible and they have to take responsibility for it".

Olympic gold medallists Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman have also claimed they are victims of Nassar.

"Instead, they allowed Larry to continue to work on little girls in MI and molest gymnasts for a very long time".

"I still remember feeling his hands, I still remember clenching from his touch, and I still remember him saying it's OK, I know you're not used to being touched there but it will feel better". Asked about Nassar, she said she fired him the day she knew of the allegations.

Ferrari planning all-electric supercar to rival Tesla Roadster 2.0
Elon Musk has made audacious claims about the next-generation Roadster but FCA boss Sergio Marchionne isn't anxious . The new business plan, scheduled to be published in the first half of 2018, will include hybrid models.

"I was told to be quiet", Raisman told Outside the Lines. That is unforgivable. I've told counselors your name in hopes that they would report you. "I trusted them and I shouldn't have".

Raisman, a Needham native and three-time gold-medal victor, was responding to a statement USA Gymnastics released Monday. "But they don't mean it". We got this. Like, stop asking us questions. "You then parted my loose shorts - that you always made me put on".

This would have left Maroney facing a $100,000 fine if she spoke publicly about how Nassar sexually abused her when she was 13 years old.

"I am a middle school teacher and I teach kids", said Anderson, who decided at the last minute to break her anonymity and read her statement herself. "So outraged that people were kindly offering to pay the six figure USAG penalty so McKayla could speak", the statement continued. "Don't define a medical profession, don't define gymnastics because of one person", said Brenda Potter, American Gold Gymnastics athletic trainer.

"Little girls don't stay little forever", she added.

"They grow into strong women that ... destroy your world".
