The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan dead

The music video's director, Samuel Bayer, drew from a palette he'd used on Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and positioned the band's lead singer, Dolores O'Riordan, painted in gold, in front of a large cross.

2 days ago, The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has died suddenly at the age of 46.

Michael O'Dwyer, who knows the O'Riordan family, said he had been stunned to hear the news of her sudden death. We all loved her very, very much. Police initially said the death was "unexplained", but today ruled it non-suspicious, meaning that they found no evidence of foul play.

One of the spokespeople of the London Hilton on Park Lane stated: "It is with deep regret that we can confirm a guest sadly passed away at the hotel on Monday 15 January".

"Dolores O'Riordan and The Cranberries had an huge influence on rock and pop music in Ireland and internationally".

O'Riordan was born in Ballybricken, County Limerick, Ireland and her warm, western Irish accent while singing remained a distinguishing feature, helping propel her band to fame in 1994.

The way she would flip between the ethereal float of her higher notes and the dignified depth of her lower register; in those breaks you could hear a measured power and a vulnerability that set The Cranberries apart from other '90s rock bands.

The band's songs - on which O'Riordan was chief lyricist and co-songwriter - had a Celtic- infused tunefulness.

The family of the Cranberries singer, 46, who died on Monday will receive the results of the post mortem tomorrow.

The Cranberries, formed in 1989 and sold over 40 million records, came to global fame with their 1993 album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? and produced popular hits such as Zombie and Linger. Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar issued a statement praising O'Riordan's influence.

He concluded that she's left behind, "a great legacy". O'Riordan released two solo albums, Are You Listening (2007) and No Baggage (2009). I was trying to remember the last time we talked.

On Amazon's Movers & Shakers rankings for digital music sales, The Cranberries' most recent album, 2017's Something Else, ranks second among the most-downloaded albums, seeing a sales surge of more than 940,000% over the past 24 hours. O'Riordan was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016, and recently struggled with back pain that caused her to cancel concerts.

The singer had previously admitted three assaults and obstructing a garda after being taken off an Aer Lingus flight from New York's JFK to Ireland in November 2014.

"Her rise to stardom gave a huge amount of belief to young people locally at the time", the bishop said. Ms O'Riordan went public some years ago about her fight with depression which she said was especially hard for her after her father Terence died in 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

O'Riordan said depression "is one of the worst things to go through", but that "I've also had a lot of joy in my life, especially with my children". "You get ups as well as downs. Sure, isn't that what life's all about?" she said.
