Milwaukee Bucks fire Jason Kidd as coach

Bucks Vs Suns Preview Starting Lineups TV Time Injuries 01/22/2018

Bay Area legend Jason Kidd was surprisingly fired Monday as the Milwaukee Bucks head coach following a midseason slump that left the talented squad in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has put up MVP numbers this season, but Milwaukee was struggled to maintain consistency and now sits at No. 8 in the Eastern Conference with a 23-22 record.

The Bucks are one of the youngest teams in the league, boasting a lineup of young faces like Antetokounmpo, 23; Malcolm Brogdon, 25; Jabari Parker, 22; Thon Maker, 20; Khris Middleton, 26; Tony Snell 26; Sterling Brown, 22; D.J. Wilson, 21; and Rashad Vaughn, 21, per Amick.

Joe Prunty, one of Kidd's assistants, will coach the team in Monday night's game against the Phoenix Suns. Williams has been known to be a player's coach; the same trait that is needed after the rupture of trust between star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and the organization. He was sacked by the Pelicans in 2015 and would then become associate head coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 2015-16 season.

Court orders new Pennsylvania congressional district map, says it favored GOP
Rep. "It shows there may be a second front in the war against gerrymandering that does not depend on what the U.S. Monday's ruling in Pennsylvania is also unique because the ruling was based on state - not federal - laws.

Kidd posted a 139-152 overall record since taking over as Bucks coach in 2014, including two playoff appearances. The news also came as a surprise then to Drew. "So, we've got a long ways to go".

"We appreciate everything that Jason has done for the Bucks organization, but we have chose to make a coaching change", Horst said.

And there are few more attractive jobs than Milwaukee, where Antetokounmpo is a generational talent improving in each of his first five seasons.
