He spoke, he said, from what appeared to be the Oval Office but was actually a replica he had constructed in his Texas basement - "So I can still pretend to be president sometimes, the way a cop retires but he still sometimes fires his gun into the woods behind his house".

Dubya also addressed Trump's many "fake news" diatribes, saying, "Donald Trump thinks the media hates him? Like historically not good", the former POTUS tells us.

Set up as a special message from the former president, the cold open featured Ferrell solo until the arrival of Leslie Jones as Condi Rice.

"So I get why you don't like this current guy. Shoe me twice, I'm keeping those shoes'".

Ferrell hilariously played the character while comparing Bush's presidency to that of Donald Trump. HIs approval rating is at an "all time high" because "Donny Q. Trump's" is in the toilet and "I'm suddenly popular A.F.", he notes.

GDP growth below expectations in fourth quarter of 2017
Follow all of Dan's work, including his series of Christian spiritual warfare novels, by liking his page on Facebook . Trump had predicted another quarter of GDP growth over 3% just this Wednesday in a speech to the country's mayors.

"At this point, I might even end up on Mount Rushmore right next to Washington, Lincoln and I wanna say..." He also took on Mike Pence and his crusade against LGBT people while also reminding viewers of how manipulative and calculating his V.P. Dick Cheney was. But remember, Dick Cheney was literally heartless.

Bush then reminds Americans that he started the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, before using a dark riddle to highlight his role in provoking the emergence of new Islamist terrorist groups.

Ferrell's Bush took responsibility for creating the terrorist organization ISIS, an acronym for the Islamic State, which in real life Trump has blamed on President Barack Obama. "This guy", he exclaims, pointing his thumbs at himself. Have you ever seen a graph of the stock market during my presidency? "It's the only graph that comes with its own slide-whistle sound effect. Now I'm not economer, but even I know that's no bueno".

Like Trump, Bush won the election, "despite losing the popular vote", says Ferrell. "In the face. Those were the days", the duo crooned.
