Canadian police charge alleged 'serial killer' with five counts of murder

Police says there are more remains to be recovered and they will expand their investigation outside of the Gay Village jurisdiction.

Idsinga says police believe there were more victims, but have no idea how many.

On Monday, Toronto police said that Mr McArthur has been charged with first degree murder in the deaths of Majeed Kayhan, Soroush Marmudi and Dean Lisowick.

The charges come after forensic investigators said they found the dismembered skeletal remains of at least three men in large planters sitting in the back yard of a home in the quiet Toronto neighborhood of Leaside.

At a press conference soon after McArthur's appearance, Karen Coles, Kinsman's sister, said her brother had wanted to be a paleantologist as a young boy.

Over the past few weeks, police pored over a number of properties connected to McArthur, including multiple residences in Toronto and one in the community of Madoc, north of Belleville. "There are at least two sites that we do want to excavate where people might be buried".

"No evidence was found which would classify anyone as a suspect in any criminal offence relating to the disappearances", Idsinga said of that investigation Monday.

Lisowick was never reported missing, but Idsinga said it's believed he was killed at the age of 47, sometime between May of 2016 and July of 2017.

Virginia vs. Duke College Basketball Predictions Against The Spread 1/27/18
The former racked up 30 points and 14 rebounds, and the latter had 14 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks. Knox offset a strong performance from Jevon Carter, who finished with 26 points for West Virginia (16-5).

Kinsman's sisters said they searched for their brother for six months before police eventually charged McArthur in his death.

"It's an alleged serial killer", Detective-Sergeant Hank Idsinga told reporters at a news briefing, describing the case as "unprecedented".

"I think the common thread in (Project) Houston were all three men were from the gay village... and they were all men of Middle Eastern decent..."

Both men frequented the Church-Wellesley Village neighbourhood and used similar dating apps, police previously said.

The 50-year-old was reported missing in 2015 by his family in east Toronto.

He was last definitively seen on March 20, 2017, but there have been reports that he was also observed by a member of the community as late as April 14.

The disappearance became part of a police probe called Project Prism launched in August. The bodies of Esen and Kinsman have not been recovered, and police have not said what evidence links McArthur to their presumed deaths. Police have ed the owners of those properties and have searched the majority of them, but are encouraging others who may have employed him to investigators. Kinsman was reported missing in June. Police said their bodies have not been found.

Anyone who owns property that McArthur worked on as a landscaper is urged to contact investigators at 416-808-2021.
