How An Alt-Right Group Planned To Sabotage 'Black Panther' Rating

We can't wait to see all the action unfold

The event encouraged participants to distribute spoilers targeting "Marvel fanboys" and asked DC fans to give their own negative reviews to the film. The group also claimed responsibility for the scores of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi".

Rotten Tomatoes told The Wrap that while the company respects "fans' diverse opinions" on the movies they're watching, it will not condone hate speech on the platform.

That said, the audience score is not as widely seen as the main critic scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

T'Challa's father T'Chaka is king of Wakanda and has the ceremonial title Black Panther as the chief of the Panther Tribe, but is killed when a bomb goes off at the United Nations making his son the Black Panther.

I wish I was making this up and writing for The Onion, but no. Twitter user MarvelousRealm, an account dedicated to all things Marvel, found the Facebook event which encouraged this ludicrous behaviour. But all this glowing white hot noise surrounding the movie has rallied a group of weirdos who want to take the movie down, simply because it's a Marvel movie and they are DC fans.

French gov't pledges more security forces in Calais after violent migrants brawls
Charities estimate there are around 800 migrants living in Calais but official figures claim there are between 550 and 600. More than 100 African migrants armed with iron rods and sticks attacked a group of around 20 Afghans, prosecutors said .

A film with the overwhelming hype that Black Panther now enjoys was bound to have its fair share of haters waiting in the wings.

Even though a review embargo has yet to be lifted for the Black Panther movie, early reactions from critics have been very positive meaning the film could do good business at the Box Office in two week's time.

The group, which numbered approximately 3,700 members before its removal, planned to negatively campaign for Marvel films other than Black Panther: it also sought to go after Avengers: Infinity War and an upcoming Marvel TV series. Following the December reports, Rotten Tomatoes issued a statement saying that while there was an uptick in reviews, they hadn't "determined there to be any problems".

The film, opening in theaters February 16, is a bold move by Marvel and Disney in featuring a virtually all-black cast.

All possible criticisms aside, I really do hope that Spencer enjoys the look on the kids' faces when they walk into that movie theater and then walk out after talking animatedly to each other about what they saw. The movie is being called by many as Marvel's best installment in the MCU so far, and advanced ticket sales for the film has exceeded previous superhero movies, beating out the previous presale leader, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
