Google Home can now set alarms to your favorite music

Keep Your Smartened Up House Safe From Attackers

Starting Wednesday, you can give the command "Hey Google, set an alarm for 9am that plays Bohemian Rhapsody".

So I'm happy that as well as focusing on clever new AI features, Google is also making the simple stuff better.

Another new feature will let users play all the songs that they have purchased or uploaded to their music library.

If you have trouble waking up in the morning, you can now recruit your favorite musician to help nudge you out of bed. Noon Home has now added support for Google's smart speaker so this means you can tell Google Assistant to control the different lighting settings that you have pre-programmed into your Noon Smart Lighting System.

White House pulls environmental advisor nominee who doubted climate change
But White's nomination was marred by her comments on climate change and alleged ties to the fossil fuel industry. As a result of the cool response, the White as reportedly made a decision to withdraw White's nomination.

These latest Google Assistant updates are already rolling out, but these are only accessible in limited regions as of now. Once you let it know, the alarm is set, and you'll hear the requested song at the set time. Previously, when you set an alarm, Google would wake you at your designated time with standard alarm beeping. For example, in the shot below, Spotify is set as the default. None of this sounds like it'd be easier to do with my voice instead of just using my phone or computer to print something out either.

The Assistant also gains the ability to look for TV schedules. Amazon's competitive assistant Alexa has a similar feature that rolled out in December.

Another interesting addition to Google Home is the ability to answer your queries about a specific show, or the channel airing it.

The feature seemingly works with whatever music service you have set by default, though we reached out to Google just to make sure. Google Assistant will provide the information right then, according to the statement of Lilian Rincon, Google Assistant Product Management Director in a blog post. And same for your roommate or partner.
