Apple Music could overtake Spotify in the USA this summer

Apple Music is growing its USA subscriber base by five percent each month, compared to Spotify's two percent.

Apple Music has been growing faster than Spotify in the United States, and as a result it might overtake the leading music streaming service later this year. The fact that it's paying off without seemingly cannibalising the growth of two different models from its main rivals is better still news. But Apple didn't require viewers to pay up front, instead offering three-month free trials for first-time sign-ups.

Spotify, however, has many privileges, being a music, video, and podcast streaming service that has seen critical growth since it's creation. Spotify has 70 million, as of last month, while Apple told the newspaper it has 36 million paying subscribers. Apple admittedly has a distinct advantage over other tech companies in that its music streaming service comes pre-loaded on all company hardware. By this summer, Apple will likely close the gap in subscriber numbers completely.

Nonetheless, Spotify has still managed to increase its user base by 16 percent if you take an account of the past seven months.

Xiaomi aims to narrow Thai digital divide with accessibly priced Redmi 5A
The Redmi series of smartphones have always featured 5-inch display whereas the Redmi Note lineup have featured 5.5-inch screen. Honor 9 Lite smartphone is recently launched in India and the biggest highlight of the phone is the quad camera on the phone.

Spotify could lose the top spot in the music streaming market in the U.S. later this year.

Music streaming services have soared in the past five years as the largest revenue generator for the music industry, as CD sales and album and song downloads declined. Apple Music lets users try before they subscribe and isn't a direct counterpart to Spotify's free tier.

Thankfully for Spotify, the U.S.is not representative of the entire picture.

In addition, Apple won access to content from top DJ's in the world - Steve Aoki, Sigala and DJ Suss One. Unfortunately, not even Spotify could halt the rapid growth of Apple Music.
