Eagles shed light on 'fake' Super Bowl walkthrough for Patriots

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia's mayor on Friday praised fans for their largely peaceful revelry at the Eagles' Super Bowl parade, noting only a few "small hiccups" during a celebration that included two stabbings, a toppled Jumbotron and the assault of an officer.

Reflecting on the heartbreaking Super Bowl loss, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has an inspiring message about what he is feeling. A photo appeared on the player's verified Instagram page shortly afterward that showed several smiling fans with the caption, "Guess who dropped their phone at the parade!"

Jones was with several of his teammates in Philadelphia on Thursday as they celebrated the Eagles' 41-33 victory over the favored New England Patriots when his phone reportedly fell out of his back pocket.

From that precarious spot, dumbfounded fans not only saw Nick Foles ride to the rescue, but witnessed the Birds embrace their underdog status and turn it into a dream come true.

Of course, screaming into his pillow is becoming pretty familiar to Jones, who told reporters back in 2016 he hates it when someone other than the Cowboys is playing in the Super Bowl.

Most football fans know the Philadelphia Eagles were largely overlooked this season, especially once starting quarterback Carson Wentz suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament. With one year left on his deal, it seems unlikely a team would pony up what it would take for the Eagles to part ways with Foles. Ask why, and there's a good chance you heard a story about a loved one who is no longer with us, and a desire to represent on their behalf. Luckily, Doug Pederson shouldn't have that much of a problem when it comes to finding Reich's replacement, and if the Eagles were smart, they would strongly consider promoting Duce Staley to take over the position.

Apple rethinks software release schedule for iPhone, iPad and Mac

The buses eventually made their way to the Art Museum steps where they addressed the fans and talked about the success of the past season and what it meant to the City of Brotherly Love.

"They're so humble", she said.

In amongst the throngs of fans singing "Fly, Eagles, Fly" or others climbing trees or roofs of SEPTA stations, Sabrina Tusavitz of Limerick in Montgomery County donned arms' length felt eagle wings and a neck of white felt feathers. Or believe that less than 20 years ago the team had to have a sales pitch for season tickets.

I am not saying the Eagles should give Foles away. That play will live on in highlight reels for years to come. The most unexpected play in this game, however, was a reverse-pass play just before halftime in which Foles caught a touchdown pass to extend Philadelphia's lead.

The pair of stabbings notwithstanding, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said the parade went off mostly "without a hitch", per the report.

"It's the whole team!"
