PUBG will begin testing connection-based matchmaking this week

PUBG Battlegrounds

The PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Steam page has been updated with a post to inform the community that the development roadmap for 2018 promised for this month has been put off to March.

Early this year, development of some of the major features and systems was delayed as our focus shifted towards tightening our anti-cheat effort.

The company's focus has since switched to dealing with the game's cheaters, which the company also attributed to the ongoing silence on the game's roadmap, which has caused many players to be frustrated.

The team also shares what we can expect with the next update. So far we've had woodland and desert biomes... could the next setting be the urban jungle that players have been dreaming about ever since PUBG's rise to fame and fortune?

Assassin's Creed Origins Drops a Discovery Tour Trailer and New Game+ Details
Of course, all story progress and missions will be reset and enemies will go up a difficulty level. Assassin's Creed: Origins' next big update will release later this month.

First of all, a new map is on development and it will probably be out before July. It was initially unveiled past year and will based around an area around the Adriatic Sea. Instead, it will prioritise low-ping players when filling up servers during matchmaking.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds may be one of the most popular games to play now, but that popularity has started to dwindle slowly. In a departure from how the system previously worked, you can now choose whether you want to spend your in-game BP on the normal crate pool or the new Fever crates you have to pay to unlock. One such method to help with this is ping-based matchmaking, which would "divide the matching pool depending on ping", describes PUBG Corp.

As we've come to expect, following the introduction of crates last fall, PUBG Corp. has added one premium and one free crate to the battle royale shooter. The first tests of the new method will take place next week. "Specific dates will be shared when ready".
