The report said that Newport told AFP that the camp housed some 55,000 IDPs and the attack appeared to target the military.

Last week, the Islamic militants kidnapped more than 100 schoolgirls in the northeastern Yobe State in Nigeria.

No details were immediately available for the fourth, but Newport said the injured and missing were both women.

The latest Rann attack comes almost two weeks after Boko Haram kidnapped 110 schoolgirls from the town of Dapchi in neighbouring Yobe state.

She noted that about 80,000 people, including 55,000 internally displaced persons were now supported with humanitarian assistance in Rann.

The United States Government has condemned the killing of UN aid workers in a Boko Haram attack on Rann, Borno State.

But he indicated that a lot of goods were entering North Korea via Russian Federation , despite sanctions on Pyongyang . The International Olympic Committee president praised the athletes for bringing the world together.

The President further sympathised with the United Nations and other humanitarian agencies working at Rann, and in the country generally.

"Last night's despicable attack that led to the deaths of several aid workers is a callous and cowardly act".

Also Friday, Nigeria's information ministry said the government has extended the search for 110 girls, who were taken from their school in the town of Dapchi, in the northeastern state of Yobe, by suspected Boko Haram militants on February 19.

The crackdown is ongoing under the Operation Deep Punch II at the Lake Chad Islands and the Sambisa region northeast of Nigeria.

The UN had also raised concern about other civilians who may have been injured or killed in the attack, saying "the crisis shows no sign of abating". In December, four people were killed when a World Food Programme (WFP) convoy was ambushed in Borno state.
