Liverpool's Klopp rules out fielding second-string side for Porto

After yet another goal against Newcastle on Saturday in Liverpool's 2-0 victory, Jurgen Klopp has described Salah as "more of a striker than a holding player".

Son Heung-min, vying for league player of the year honors with Salah, took his goal tally for the campaign to 15 with a double blast in Tottenham's triumph over Huddersfield at Wembley Stadium. It's a different position, it depends what you want.

"There's no doubt Kevin de Bruyne plays a nice season; there's no doubt Mo Salah plays a really good one as well".

"Other teams can say "Hmmm, he's really good" but it is not sure they will play the same way and use him as a nine or a 10 or they'll use him out on the wings". That's how it is.

The talented midfielder has now fully recovered however, and is starting to put in the type of classy midfield displays that made him so highly sought after just a couple of seasons ago. Harry Kane is not too bad, Roberto Firmino not too bad, David Silva had a few weeks when he couldn't play for personal reasons but he is playing an excellent season.

"But I really respect it and if he can win this competition he deserves it".

"There are a few games to go and we have to make sure he can keep on going in this shape, be in important spaces and very decisive areas, and score goals for us".

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez, who tasted his first defeat in six meetings with the club with whom he won the 2005 Champions League, said: "In both situations it was not very clear".

Frances McDormand singles out women during Oscars broadcast
Since then, she's stepped out in a variety of high-neck, floor-length gowns, and yet her beauty look has never once wavered. "We should support this for a billion reasons, but if you can't find a reason to, here's one: it will make movies better".

But Salah has emerged as a serious contender and Klopp feels he will deserve any recognition that comes his way. He is the best.

"We thought he could come a few more steps in his developments, he did a few already", Klopp said.

"Kevin has got everything".

"I love the goals he's scored, I love his assists. I try my best and try to be ready at all times", Son said.

However, Salah's teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pointed out that the Egyptian's predatory prowess is testament to his all-round game. I don't have to make the decision.

MOHAMED SALAH'S DESIRE for goals was hailed by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after the Egypt global scored for the seventh consecutive game in all competitions.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp may choose to rest key players for his side's return leg against Porto on Tuesday as next weekend brings a Premier League trip to fierce rivals Manchester United.
