The Lens feature on Google Photos can be launched by basically tapping on the Lens icon in pictures uploaded to the application. The feature was initially available only to Google's own smartphone series Pixel.

Google Lens, the feature which allows the Pixel 2's camera to recognise and identify landmarks, objects, etc, is now going to be available on all Android phones via the Photos app.

During MWC in February, Google detailed the Lens app, which can scan a business card and turn it into a contact, will be more widely supported.
