Heather Locklear Back in Treatment After Domestic Violence Arrest

Heather Locklear appears in a booking

She was initially arrested after police were called to her home and she was booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence and three counts of battery, as she allegedly attacked the three responding officers.

Her stint in rehab was reportedly heavily encouraged by her daughter Ava, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband Richie Sambora.

TMZ reports that authorities obtained a warrant to enter and search Heather Locklear's Thousand Oaks neighborhood home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

Police had reason to believe that the former Melrose Place actress was armed during the altercation with her boyfriend, Chris Heisser. During the arrest, Locklear reportedly became "combative" and allegedly struck three officers.

Actress Heather Locklear has checked herself into a treatment facility after her recent arrest for felony domestic violence.

"[She's] blaming her brother for making the call to the police", the source claims. "There was a firearm registered in her name, so the goal of the search was simply to go and look for that firearm". She is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday, authorities said. "Now I am working on tying up some loose ends regarding certain issues so I can hit 2017 full steam ahead", Locklear told the New York Post through her representative at the time. During the apprehension, she threatened she would shoot the deputies if they ever came into her home again.

We'll keep you updated on Locklear's status, but we're happy to hear she's hopefully getting the help she needs. She posted $20,000 bail and was released the following day.

"Her friends and family are telling her it is time to go back to rehab", a source told Entertainment Tonight.
