Here's what Jennifer Garner was thinking during the Oscars

The clip of Garner's drastic mood change was shared on Twitter with the question, "What realisation did Jennifer Garner just come to?", prompting thousands of hilarious suggestions. The internet's greatest mystery of the last day has been solved.

She eventually joined in on the fun in three Instagram stories, posting the video along with a lighthearted voiceover each time. Jennifer Garner reacted to her hilarious Oscars meme on her Instagram Story on Monday, March 5.

"Congrats to Shape of Water".

As for some of her other suggestions for what could have been running through her mind, Garner joked, "Hey, Jimmy Kimmel, what's in your wallet? Wait, where is my wallet?" she said.

She confessed: "So therefore I'm clapping but it was really hard because I had this huge ring on which was not my own but was absolutely gorgeous and I was terrified of damaging it!" We may never know what really happened, but we're here for the Garnaissance.

The former "Alias" star, 45, had a moment during the 2018 Oscars where she was clapping and looked to stop in mid-celebration when she possibly realized something or was struck by something onstage. Garner said during one video.

Now, the actress herself has weighed in on the mystery surrounding her semi-stunned face.

Garner's expression during the ceremony wasn't the only way she stole the spotlight at the star-studded awards.

Garner recently signed on to star in the HBO comedy series "Camping", helmed by "Girls" creators Dunham and Jenni Konner.
