Turkey neutralises 3055 terrorist in Syria

Turkey in cooperation with Iraq against Daesh PKK PM

A total of 3,149 terrorists have been "neutralized" since the start of Operation Olive Branch in Syria's northwestern Afrin region, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement on Friday.

The Turkish troops and allied militants have so far seized five of Afrin's seven urban centers, according to Anadolu.

Cars and buses reportedly carrying people from across Syria's Deir ez-Zor region arrived in Afrin via the Zahra crossing on Thursday, March 8, Al-Masdar News says.

"We are in Afrin today, we will be in Manbij tomorrow".

The YPG is regarded by Turkey as the Syrian affiliate of the PKK, listed as a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the U.S. and European Union.

"Turkey will make sure the east of the Euphrates to the Iraqi border is cleansed of any terrorist group after operations in Syria", he said.

Ireland Team v Scotland, Saturday 2.15pm kick-off
The biggest decision facing Schmidt prior to this one was his replacement for Chris Farrell. His natural talent, however, is undoubted.

Erdogan's repeated threats to push on to Manbij have caused complications with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation ally the United States, which has its troops deployed in the area.

Turkish armed forces are besieging the Syrian Kurdish-controlled district of Afrin in northern Syria, Turkey's president has said.

According to him, deployment of YPG militants to north-western Syria is being held under control of the United States military in the region.

The PKK, which has carried out a three-decade insurgency in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast, is considered a terrorist organization by the United States, Turkey and the European Union.

He went on to suggest that following the country's parliamentary elections in May, Turkish troops may move to northern Iraq to continue the offensive against troops allied to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
